Phrantic Phonics is ideal for intervention programmes. Teachers or trained TAs can deliver with minimum preparation apart from the initial printing, binding / laminating of resources. It is important, at the beginning of such a programme, to assess the child and to address individual gaps in knowledge. Two quarter hour sessions per week should be set aside for each child identified. Simple records need to be kept to ensure progression and communication between members of staff delivering.
