LANGUAGE NOTE: The French do not use the possessive with parts of the body in the same way as the English do. We use the possessive adjective (my, your etc), where the French generally use the definite article (le,la,les) So: I raise my hand = Je lève la main. My feet hurt = Les pieds me font mal
